The Season of Lent commences Ash Wednesday, February 14th with the Christian faithful receiving ashes and meditating at the Gethsemane altar 7-8am, 11:30am to noon and 5:30-7pm. Time of Reflection, Meditation, Preparation for Lenten journey – 12 noon and 7p.m.
Gethsemane Lutheran members and members of the surrounding community come together to enjoy all the ministries at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
Following the 10:30 a.m. liturgy, everyone is invited to the Ministry Fair/Fiesta:
Please come and share in this time celebrating ministries of the congregation and renewing commitment to 2018 ministry. Everyone is needed! Everyone has talents, time and treasure for ministry.

The annual Gethsemane Lutheran Vacation Bible School June 19-23, 8:45 a.m.-12 noon.
Theme: A Mighty Fortress: Truth Be Told.
Gethsemane Lutheran Children’s Ministry students and staff will participate. Plan to enroll by June 14th. Adults are invited to volunteer, even if you can only assist one day. Help in the craft area, music, prepare and serve snacks, the storytelling room, games, or being a guide to lead the children from one area to another. Please note on the registration form which days you can assist and in which activity you would prefer to help.
This is an opportunity to make new friends and make a difference in the lives of children.
Make plans to enjoy “Something’s Coming,” another entertaining and engaging show written by Lane Holmstrom and performed by our very talented Gethsemane Youth. Tickets include dinner and show, and there will be lots of silent and live auction items that you can bid on. Thanks for supporting our youth and continuing this joyful tradition.

Pancakes and sausage provided by Men in Mission. Proceeds benefit Gethsemane and community service projects.
